Description
William Tyndale is the next in my series of sketches I am doing of a number of the Protestant Reformers; in honor of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Tyndale was mightily used by God to translate the Bible from the original languages to English, and it cost him his life. The Reformers held to what has now been termed the five Solas, or Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, Scripture Alone, For the Glory of God Alone.
"I perceived how that it was impossible to establish the lay people in any truth except the Scripture were plainly laid before their eyes in their mother tongue" - William Tyndale
